Teaching in winter semester 2022/23

28/09/2022

Dear students,

In this winter semester, the IWW's courses will continue to be held in the form of classroom lectures. Due to the positive feedback on the courses in hybrid form in the previous semesters, the institute will also use this already tested teaching format in the winter semester 2022/23.

What does that mean?

It means that the relevant lectures will be held by the lecturers in the lecture hall, which will be broadcast simultaneously via Zoom, so that you can participate in the lectures on site or online.

What requirements do I have to fulfil to attend a lecture in the lecture hall?

Although wearing masks, maintaining minimum distances and adhering to the 3G rule are no longer compulsory, it is requested that masks be worn when attending in presence. The goal in terms of solidarity among each other should continue to be the protection of vulnerable groups. Therefore, the Rectorate and AStA have agreed to launch a campaign at RWTH under the motto "We continue to wear masks". This calls on everyone to wear masks in the corridors, in the study rooms and in the lecture halls. This also applies to the lectures and exercises at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management.

According to the house rules, persons with cold symptoms that have not been cleared by a doctor are not allowed to enter the RWTH.

Which lectures take place in which form?

Basically, the form of the lecture always depends on the current pandemic situation and the associated regulations of the federal government, the state and the university. Currently, the lectures for the winter semester 22/23 take place as follows:
