The Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management offers numerous courses both in the summer semester and in the winter semester. These are attended by students of different courses of study. The range of courses includes hydromechanical basics as well as advanced hydraulic engineering and water management fields and application-oriented experimental work. In addition, the IWW continuously offers student research projects with current scientific relevance. The offered topics are designed for student research projects as well as for final theses. Furthermore, every year students are offered excursions to interesting hydraulic engineering and water management destinations. Local destinations such as the Rur-Eifel reservoirs as well as supra-regional destinations are visited in a one-week field trip.
